Otopeni (OTP) is Bucharest's main airport, while Băneasa (BBU) is the closer alternative to the city centre. Since 2025, Băneasa Airport has once again handled scheduled passenger flights.
Practically: land where your flight lands. If that is Băneasa, the handover is quicker, you are closer to town, and the transfer costs €15 instead of €20 per leg. The car, the insurance and the deposit are identical either way.
